Products I find useful for life with fibromyalgia

Although widespread pain is a problem with fibro, there are certain areas like my back which I find are generally more painful. Obviously you can’t heat  your entire body but sometimes a little heat can be really useful. I find heat pads do offer some comfort when pain is particularly bad in a localised area. I’ve listed a few which you may find useful. likewise a well placed TENS machine works well on localised pain. It can be a bit difficult to place pads correctly so having someone around who can help is always useful.

The one thing I cannot do without are my memory foam shoes. They are so comfy and light and wearing them really does help my foot pain. You can get cheap to really expensive. I’ve got mid range which I find are just fine, but if you have the money, I would go for a pair of skechers. They look great with jeans, leggings and casual dresses.

When you have a headache, cooling eye masks are perfect for tha t little bit of extra relief especially if your headaches are around your eyes like mine are.

Hylo forte eye drops are the best on the market as far as I’m concerned. Dry sore eyes will feel instantly relieved and you can get them on prescription in England. They are not expensive as they will last for about six months and you don’t need to keep them refrigerated. I love them. I’ve tried Hylo Tear as well and they also work well.

These products fit nicely into a flare up box for when fibro bites, oh apart from the shoes, you should just wear them!

Lastly, if you can’t think of a gift for someone with fibro or another chronic pain condition, these may be you answer.
